Apple’s MacBook Pro has generated far more revenue than any other notebook released this year.

In its first five days of availability, sales of the MacBook Pro nearly quadrupled that of the Microsoft Surface Book over the last year, according to new data from research firm Slice Intelligence. The gap is even wider on other popular computers, including the Asus Chromebook and Dell Inspiron computers. Only Apple’s 12-inch MacBook has been able to top the MacBook Pro’s sales. However, Slice Intelligence noted that Apple’s latest notebook has already generated 78% of the revenue the 12-inch MacBook has generated since April 10, 2015.

The Slice Intelligence data comes from its analysis of more than 4.4 million online shoppers.

Apple AAPL-0.16% unveiled its new MacBook Pro late last month. The computer comes in 13- and 15-inch form factors and runs on Apple’s macOS Sierra operating system. While it comes with several enhancements under the hood, including better processing power, arguably its most important feature is its Touch Bar. That feature, which sits above the device’s keyboard, is a multitouch glass strip that lets users interact with the on-screen software with their fingers. It’s Apple’s answer to Windows-based computers featuring touchscreens—a feature customers won’t find on the MacBook Pro.

Apple's MacBook Pro Has Already Outsold Its Competitors

Several signs of late have indicated MacBook Pro sales were strong. Last week, for instance, Apple senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller said the MacBook Pro has secured more sales through the Apple online retail store than any other professional-focused notebook it’s ever released. Earlier this week, a report from Apple’s supply chain surfaced, saying the company is ramping up orders to satisfy strong demand for its notebook.

In addition to sharing sales data, Slice Intelligence said in a statement that the MacBook Pro is also helping Apple get back some of its former customers who had turned to other brands like Dell and Asus. The research firm added some customers had turned away from Apple in the last couple of years to try out touchscreen-based computers in the Windows world. Now, they’re coming back to Apple.

Apple’s MacBook Pro will begin shipping soon to those who ordered the computer last month. Those who order it now from Apple’s online store will need to wait four to five weeks for the computer to ship to their homes or offices.
